I made it and tested it! The Network Selector found my NETWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Intel® WIFI Link 5100: 5300.zip 1.5 M Follow the link to download but is worth a try I tried on my 10.6.4 dell system but i am getting this error. The system extension '/System/Library/Extensions/iwi2200.kext' was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update.

If you scroll down you find another set of kexts that actually do detect the wireless card but haven't found a way to activate it. I tried on my 10.6.4 dell system but i am getting this error.

Funny that I find this tonight. I have been trying to get my Alienware m15x (core i7 920 2GHz) going on Snow Leopard for the past couple of days. With some diligent searching from this forum and others I have installed retail 10.6.3 and upgraded to the 10.6.5 combo with Audio, Video, and NIC all working (PM for driver info until I post it properly), but not the Intel Wireless 5300. To make sure I'm not missing anything, I downloaded the Intel® WIFI Link 5100 - 5300 pkg and installed it.
I got the same error referenced in posts above. Before rebooting I did what MutantTractor suggested as well and had no luck. I don't see any wireless devices at all.

Im running an M15x too, Only on iAtkos v7 though. What SL distro you using? If so how did you go about installing?
